March 2022 Goals

Rather than recap everything I’ve been up to since October (it’s been a bit hectic), I’m just going to start off with a clean slate and jump right into what I want to accomplish in March this year. As usual, I’ll be breaking my goals down into the following categories: Writing, Reading, Social, and Household. So let’s get into it.

Writing Goals

I’ll be honest, it’s been difficult getting back into the balancing act of finding time to write while working full time and I haven’t been writing as much as I’d like to. And that’s okay. I’ve been getting the projects done that I want to get done and I’d like to continue that in March. To that end, my goal is to finish a short story for a themed call that’s closing at the end of March, get started on a project I’m hoping to collaborate on with a friend, and work on rereading a novel that I was halfway through revising in early 2020 when the pandemic started and I just lost all motivation.

Reading Goals

There are three books I’d like to finish reading this month at a minimum. One that I’ve been reading on and off for a few months, one I started last week, and one that my book club will be discussing this week. If I read more than that, I’ll call it a win. In order to accomplish this reading goal, I’m going to try to set aside an hour each day exclusively for reading.

Social Goals

With the pandemic picking up in WA (we’ve been virtually COVID-free up until February this year), socialization is going to get harder again. My regular choir is on hiatus because of COVID regulations so I don’t have that weekly social outlet anymore. I think I’m going to try to schedule some more online social activities with friends, but I’m not going to stress too much about this at the moment because my new job provides some level of socialization that I wasn’t getting previously.

House Goals

I’m going to focus on my office/dining room this month as it’s gotten a bit out of hand. I need to implement some organizational systems and also get some art prints framed and hung.

Thanks for reading!
