On November 1st, my band is having a party in honor of our 1st anniversary as a band. It’s recently come to our attention that on that same day Bela Fleck, Abigail Washburn, and the Del McCoury Band will be playing in Portland at the Merrill Auditorium.
Oops. Who scheduled our party then? Oh, wait, it was me.
Well, if you’re at a loss as to which concert to go to, here are a few reasons you should choose Miners Creek Bluegrass Band over some of the greatest musicians in the world.
1. Our show is free. All you need to bring is your lovely self and something to eat.
2. No no need to drive all the way to Portland. The Miners Creek Birthday Party will be right in South Thomaston at the Keig Gallery.
3. We keep getting better. That’s right folks, Miners Creek keeps on improving. Bela, Abigail, and Del have gotten as good as it gets.
4. We’ve got two distinct styles of banjo… Oh wait, they’ll have three. Darn!
5. We’ll have food and cake. Nothing makes an evening complete quite like cake in my opinion.
