Miners Creek Bluegrass Band is officially one of the bands playing in the Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Special Band Competition on Thursday August 28th. The prize is $1000 and the chance to play a full set at the festival on Sunday. I am beyond ecstatic…and nervous. We’ll actually be playing at a venue that people travel hundreds of miles to come to. Man, am I going to have to practice.
Anyway, check out the festival here. It’s a great venue, right on the beach with a single stage and camping in a nice wooded area. We’d love to have as many people as possible come out to vote for us, but if you can’t make it on Thursday, I still recommend you come check out the rest of the festival.
