Paid in Food

My very busy week went very well. On Friday, the band played at the Union Farmers Market. It was a gorgeous afternoon, warm, but not too hot, with a lovely breeze. We played on a green in the shade of a tree. I think I like playing outdoors the best. It makes me feel so connected to everything and everyone around me, like the music weaves a thread that binds the world together and walls and stages block that connection somehow. We got paid in food, which is awesome. I wouldn’t mind only ever getting paid in food, especially fresh, local, organic food.

Yesterday, I taught my class on Greek Mythology, which went really well. I have all sorts of ideas for what classes I’d like to teach next. I’m thinking the Egyptian Gods and then Celtic Mythology. I have a lot of research to do for the Celtics, but I think it’s well worth it to be able to learn new stories and then to be able to share them with others.

I can’t believe it’s almost July. This next month should be fun, full of music and merriment. And I promise to start posting chapters soon.

Thanks for reading.
